Sample itinerary

All Sporta tours are tailored to the requirements of the schools and clubs we work with, so itineraries vary according to their aims and sport.  Our sample itinerary here provides an idea for how a tour to India could be structured:

Day 1 – Arrive at New Delhi International Airport. You will meet your Sporta Tours liaison officer, who will welcome your group and assist you to your hotel. Check-in and relax at the hotel. Evening 2 hour practice/training session. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Delhi.

Day 2 – After a hotel breakfast, proceed for your first match. Lunch and refreshments will be served at the match venue. Evening free or time for optional excursions. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Delhi.

Day 3 – After breakfast at the hotel, relax by the pool or join a Salaam Baalak Trust Walk. Proceed to the match venue for your second match. Lunch and refreshments will be served at the match venue. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Delhi.

Day 4 – Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a full day in Delhi sightseeing with a licensed tour guide with lunch at an award-winning restaurant. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Delhi.

Day 5 – Breakfast at the hotel, then proceed to the venue for your third match. Lunch and refreshments at the match venue. Evening free to return to the hotel or for a visit to a cricket bat factory – a shopping opportunity at factory rates! Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Delhi.

Day 6 – Breakfast and check out before leaving early for Agra. Visit Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal, before enjoying a buffet lunch at a 5* hotel. Visit Fatehpur Sikri en-route to Jaipur. Reach Jaipur and check-in and rest. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Jaipur.

Day 7 – A later start this morning following yesterday’s journey. Breakfast at the hotel then time to relax poolside. Proceed to the match venue for your fourth match. Lunch and refreshments at the match venue. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Jaipur.

Day 8 – Breakfast at the hotel, then proceed to the match venue for your fifth match. Lunch and refreshments at the match venue. Evening free for an optional local excursion such as shopping. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Jaipur.

Day 9 – Breakfast at the hotel, before a full day sightseeing in Jaipur. In the evening, visit the adventure park ‘Chokhi Dhani’ and enjoy a traditional dinner there. Overnight stay at your hotel in Jaipur.

Day 10 – Breakfast followed by time for a little relaxation poolside before checking out. Transfer to your Gurgaon hotel. Evening free for an optional visit to the Kingdom of Dreams Dinner at Culture Gully (Kingdom of Dreams). Overnight stay at your hotel in Gurgaon.

Day 11 – Breakfast at the hotel before heading to the match venue for your sixth match. Lunch and refreshments at the match venue. Dinner at a theme restaurant and overnight stay at your hotel in Gurgaon.

Day 12 – Breakfast at the hotel, then proceed for your seventh and final match. Lunch and refreshments at the match venue. Presentations, dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Gurgaon.

Day 13 – Breakfast at the hotel and relax until check-out. Departure as per your flight back home.
