Sample itinerary
All of our tours are tailor-made to meet the requirements of each school and club, and will vary depending on sport. However, to give you an idea of how a sports tour to Holland could look, here’s a sample itinerary for an Amsterdam hockey tour:
Day 1 – Arrive into Amsterdam airport in the morning after your short flight from the UK. You will be met by one of our Sporta Tours representatives who will take you to your hotel via private transfer. In the afternoon you will watch a high standard, local hockey match to expose you to the style and differences in Dutch hockey. Time before and after dinner can be spent exploring the city.
Day 2 – After breakfast you will be transported to a local hockey club for a morning training session with one of the local coaches. Lunch will be held at the club and followed by a fixture against the club. After the game you will go back to the hotel to relax before dinner followed by a free evening to relax.
Day 3 – Breakfast followed by a free morning to explore local attractions such as the Rijksmuseum, local waterpark or a tour of the Amsterdam Arena, home of AFC Ajax. In the afternoon, visit the renowned Anne Frank museum followed by a transfer to your second match in the early evening with dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4 – After breakfast you will be transferred to a local hockey club for your second training session followed by lunch at the club. Play your final match and enjoy a post-match dinner at the club and prize-giving ceremony. Return to the hotel to relax before your final day.
Day 5 – Free morning after breakfast followed by a transfer to the airport in the afternoon for your short flight home.
