Following a press conference in Nepal earlier today, Sporta Tours are proud to now be offering Cricket Tours to Nepal. The MCC will be our first team to visit the country this November, and will be followed by our first school group, Eastbourne College, in March 2016, who are visiting Nepal after a stopover in the UAE.
It was also announced that the MCC will welcome the Nepal Cricket Team to Lord’s next summer, as part of the bicentenary celebrations of the UK – Nepal relationship. It will be the first time Nepal have played at Lord’s. This follows on from Nepal Captain Paras Khadka’s inclusion in the MCC team that played in the Emirates Airline Twenty20 Tournament, organised by Sporta Tours, during March 2015.
You may not be aware of this, but the Nepalese are absolutely fanatic about their cricket! Consequently they will welcome our groups with open arms, and the country will provide a highly unique touring experience for school and club tour groups. Nepal tours can include visits to UNESCO Natural Heritage sites, charity work, and mountain walks to take in the stunning views of the Himalayas.
We have personally inspected the areas our tours will visit, and the British Embassy has declared the region safe for travel again after the recent earthquakes. Our tours have the support of the Nepalese Embassy, the Nepal Cricket Board, and the Gurkha Welfare Trust, and we are confident that Nepal is an appropriate destination for school or club sports tours. If you’d like to discuss this topic in more detail, please do contact us as we will be more than happy to do so.
With tourism playing such a vital role in Nepal's economy, it's important for people to know that the country is still…
