The June 2018 England Netball e-newsletter has covered news of Caterham School’s experience as guests on court at an NBA game during their netball and lacrosse tour with Sporta Tours.

Caterham School appointed Sporta Tours to devise and manage a netball and lacrosse tour to Orlando, Florida, but didn’t expect such an unusual tour highlight to feature within their itinerary.

Girls from the team were invited on court to stand with the Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards players during the singing of the national anthem. The game, which was the last in the season and coincided with ‘Orlando Magic’s Fan Appreciation Night’, took place at the prestigious Amway Center in Orlando in front of a crowd of 18,000+ and provided a uniquely memorable experience for the School.

The highly successful tour also featured training clinics, friendly games and entry to the South Florida Netball Festival. The School’s U15A and U14A teams finished as runners up and winners after games with teams from a number of US states.
