Example Itinerary for a Cricket Tour to Dubai/ UAE:
Day 1 – Arrive into Dubai or Abu Dhabi from an overnight flight. At the airport, a representative of Sporta Tours will meet you. Transfer to a local school or academy for a morning of training. Check into your hotel for rest, relaxation, exploring the surrounding area and an early night!
Day 2 – In the morning, acclimatise with a training run along the beach, with the iconic Burj Al Arab as your backdrop, then, depart the hotel after breakfast for your first match, against a local Dubai school. In the afternoon, visit Dubai Creek and the World famous souks.
Day 3 – Depart the hotel for your second match against a local academy. In the evening, visit Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping centre, and enjoy dinner underneath the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, whilst enjoying the World’s largest choreographed fountain show.
Day 4 – Enjoy a mid-tour morning of rest to catch up on your sleep! In the afternoon, depart for Jumeirah Beach for beach cricket, swimming and sunbathing!
Day 5 – A day spent in Abu Dhabi. Depart the hotel for the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque for a tour. After lunch, play your third fixture in Abu Dhabi. En route back to the hotel, stop off at the Yas Marina F1 GP Circuit for a walk, cycle or run around the track.
Day 6 – Today is free to spend at leisure. Among the many extra activities you could do are some of the World’s best waterparks, the iconic Desert Safari dune bashing trip, or a cultural lunch at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding – or for a really busy day you could do all three!
Day 7 – Depart the hotel for your fourth match against a local team from Sharjah. In the afternoon, there will be time spare to revisit your favourite place from the tour and purchase those last minute gifts for friends and family back home! Check-in at the airport, Dubai’s is only a ten minute drive from the city centre, and fly home around midnight.
