Girls from Caterham School enjoyed the experience of a lifetime courtesy of Sporta Tours as guests of honour at one of the US’ biggest and final NBA games of the regular season on 11th April.

Girls from the school’s netball team, who are visiting Orlando with Sporta, were invited on court to stand with the Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards players during the singing of the national anthem. The game took place at the prestigious Amway Center in Orlando in front of a crowd of 18,000+.

Rachel Hart, Caterham School tour leader commented: “It’s been an inspiring experience for the girls. Our thanks go to Sporta for what can only be described as the most MAGICAL experience! #puremagic.

Charlotte Tracy 4th year team captain added “It was nerve-wracking stepping out in front of such a huge crowd at first but they made us feel very welcome and special – it was amazing. To then watch the game and learn more about the sport which is so huge in the US was great.”

“With this being the Orlando Magic’s Fan Appreciation Night, this is a perfect way to thank all those who support us and especially our overseas fans from England,” said Magic Sr. Vice President Christ D’Orso. “The Magic appreciate all of its fans and take great pride in delivering legendary moments. Our goal is to make sure everyone who visits the award-winning Amway Center to cheer on the Magic has a memorable experience.”

Caterham School’s itinerary included entry in the South Florida Netball Festival, in which their U15A and U14A teams finished as runners up and winners. To learn more about their tour direct from Caterham School check out their twitter feed @CaterhamSport
