Sample itinerary

All of our tours are tailor-made to meet the requirements of each school and club but to give you an idea of how a rugby tour to Sri Lanka could look here’s a sample itinerary…

Day 1 – Arrival in Sri Lanka and transfer to proceed to Negombo. Check in to the Goldi Sands Hotel hotel (or similar). Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Breakfast in the hotel. Practice session in the morning at a local ground. Optional river cruise and BBQ dinner. Overnight stay.

Day 3 – Breakfast in the hotel. Proceed to the venue for the first match against local opposition. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – Breakfast in the hotel. Checkout from the hotel and proceed to Kandy. En route visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. Have lunch. Continue to Kandy. Check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 – Proceed to the venue for the second match against local opposition. Return to the hotel for overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 – Breakfast in the hotel. The day is free to relax. Visit the city of Kandy. Options to visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Kandy or a Cultural Show in the city. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 – Breakfast in the hotel. Proceed to the venue for the third match against local opposition. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 – Breakfast in the hotel. Check out of hotel. Proceed to Colombo. Arrive in the hotel in the afternoon. Check in. Proceed to the ground for a training session. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9 – Breakfast in the hotel. Proceed to the venue for the fourth match against local oppsition. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10 – Check out of hotel. Airport transfer. Return home.
