Sporta Tours has been announced as a Partner of Sport in Abu Dhabi.

The collaboration is part of a new initiative just launched by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) to promote the UAE’s capital across all forms of sports tourism.

Matthew Jackson, MD of Sporta Tours commented

“We enjoy excellent relations with our partners in Abu Dhabi. Sporta brings more cricket teams to the region than other operator and it is home to the ARCH Tournament, so we are delighted to be part of this strategic alliance.”

Established by Sporta a decade ago, the ARCH event – see below – has grown to become the world’s largest cricket tournament for schools. Abu Dhabi has been named as host city for the 2018 Tournament, making it the first event to be announced under the Sport in Abu Dhabi initiative.

According to His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary, Abu Dhabi Sports Council “Sport in Abu Dhabi will allow us to welcome more athletes and spectators from around the world to train, compete and watch sport here in Abu Dhabi. Through this partnership with our colleagues at the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, we are inviting the world to come to Abu Dhabi and watch, train and compete in our sports portfolio and in our world-class facilities.”

Sporta Tours is one of just a handful of official partners to have been announced under the initiative which also features Flash Entertainment, Rotana Group, Abu Dhabi Cricket Club, Abu Dhabi Golf Club, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club and Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club.
